Who benefits? Your sponsorship will support The Chris Dawson Foundation This is a local private family foundation, created as a legacy for the late Christopher Dawson. Its mandate is to celebrate his legacy in three ways: develop and manage centres for not-for-profit organizations that offer a variety of shared services; participate in educational opportunities (sponsorships and scholarships); and support charitable events, which will further community development. Its first not-for-profit centre, called The Chris Dawson Centre, is located at 420 East Street North in Sarnia and boasts five tenants (see below) who share the Foundation’s vision of creating a shared-services, cost-saving centre. A 2,000 sq. ft. addition added in the summer of 2010 will provide a range of services and resources for all tenant partners. The Foundation’s five-year goal is to reduce base-rent by approximately 50%, saving tenant partners even more money, allowing them to focus more on their core services. Alzheimer Society
