Past Events In 2009, proceeds benefited Goodwill Industries Essex Kent Lambton and its establishment of an attended donation drive-thru centre. This donation centre allowed Goodwill to receive higher quality goods, while dramatically decreasing processing times and operating costs. These donated goods get onto the shelves for purchase more quickly, allowing the money obtained from the retail sale to go back into the Goodwill’s employment training and counseling programs. These programs provide those with employment barriers the job skills and training they need to find and keep work. | | Proceeds from the London Race to Erase benefited the London Food Bank. This organization helps individuals in the area who are experiencing difficulty securing food for themselves and their families. Dollars raised went towards the repair and upgrade of the crumbling entrance to the Food Bank. This improvement included wheelchair access, to ensure that the Food Bank’s much needed services are safely accessible to everyone. Funds in excess of the cost to improve the front entrance were used to replenish the Food Bank’s baby food budget. | | Race to Erase 2008 - September 27
