 The Race to Erase could not function without the help and support of volunteers. Here are some of the volunteer positions available: Teams (NOTE: These committee members are ABLE to compete in the Race) - Identify potential teams and/or team captains
- Encourage teams to sign up for Race to Erase through the website
- Encourage those who sign up to get other people to sign up
- Refer inquires to www.racetoerase.com or Rich at rbouchard@racetoerase.com.
Sponsorship (NOTE: These committee members are ABLE to compete in the Race) - Identify businesses to sponsor local Race to Erase
- Promote the Race to encourage businesses to sponsor the event or donate prizes to be distributed at the closing ceremonies
- Distribute sponsorship packages to interested parties
Volunteer Coordinator (NOTE: These committee members are UNABLE to compete in the Race) - Locate volunteers to fill the positions for the local race
- Brief the volunteers on their specific roles when they begin
- Brief volunteers at volunteer night
- Brief key volunteers prior to the race
Challenge Coordinator (NOTE: These committee members are UNABLE to compete in the Race) - Determine potential businesses and not-for-profits who would like to participate
- Work with the business or not-for-profit to create a fun and challenging event
- Attend volunteer night the week of the event to be briefed on how the event will flow
- Arrive at Race start/finish one hour prior to the beginning of the race to pickup required materials/radios and volunteers
- Oversee event – when problems arise, know who to contact
- Promote the race to encourage team and volunteer registration
Race Day Volunteers - Arrive to location volunteering at 40 minutes prior to start of event
- Read the volunteer logistics sheet
- Take pictures as possible
- Have fun!
